These restaurants, when last checked, assured us that a gf version of their menu is available upon request. It is probably a good idea to give the restaurant a call to be sure they still can provide this service. Many restaurants now have gluten free menus on their website. Our list, below, is a short one. Take a moment to check the website of the restaurant you are interested in visiting. They may have a gluten free menu that you can preview. Do take a moment too, if you can, to thank the restaurant for any additional services they may have provided to help make your gluten free meal more enjoyable. They will surely appreciate the acknowledgment and also remember the importance of our gluten free needs for next time. (Note: An asterisk * appears after the name of a restaurant that has a gf menu online.)

PF Chang's China Bistro * , http://www.pfchangs.com/ There are five locations in the greater Phoenix area. Corporate puts out an excellent gf menu. Check their site for the menu and locations. (The floor manager of the Scottsdale location is, herself, a Celiac and very helpful.) - 3/08
Pei Wei's *, (All locations) Pei Wei's is owned by PF Chang's. Managers at their locations are very helpful at making sure they put together a gf dish for you. - GF menu are very short but available (behind the counter-ask) 3/08
Alberto Italian Restaurant, 7171 E. Cave Creek Rd, Carefree, AZ, 85377, (480) 488-5800 Has a gf version of their menu-ask. Alberto keeps rice pasta on hand for substitution upon request OR you can substitute their risotto. 3/08
Texas Roadhouse, 1605 S. Stapely Drive, Mesa 85204 (480) 539-0240 Says they have a gf version of their menu (Check with this and the other locations.) 10/07

Tonto Bar & Grill 5736 E. Rancho Manana Blvd, Cave Creek, AZ (480) 488-0698 & Cartwright's 6710 E. Cave Creek Rd, Cave Creek, AZ (480) 488-8031 Tonto Bar & Grill now offers a gluten free menu and usually has gluten free bread on hand. Servers are very helpful and the cook is willing to alter various dishes to make them be gf. Some desserts are gf as they are. It is suggested to make reservations during non-busy times for the best attention. Both restaurants are owned by the same chef/owner. Cartwright's is much more pricey, but equally excellent food and service.) - 3/08

Pappadeaux's Seafood Kitchen, 11051 N. Black Canyon H'way, Phoenix, AZ (602) 331-3434 (We have no specific menu items to recommend, however this national chain makes it their company policy to involve a floor manager in all special dietetic requests. They are quite thorough and willing to discuss ingredients and preparation methods with you to assure a safe meal.) - 6/04
Basis New American Restaurant, 410 E. Thunderbird, Phoenix (602) 843-3689 They have 10 GF items on their menu and will alter other items to be GF upon request. - 10/07

Bistro di Napoli, 5830 W. Thunderbird, Glendale, (602) 298-6767 (All spaghetti sauces are gf and chef is happy to cook up your gf pasta. Citrus vinaigrette is gf as are a couple of the desserts. Management very eager to please.) - 10/07

Rumbi Island Grill Locations in Scottsdale, Phoenix, and Mesa, www.rumbi.com. Has freshly made salads and dishes. Ask mgr about gf status of items. They are extremely accomodating. 7/06
Noodles Ranch Vietnamese Cuisine and Beyond, Albertson's shopping center - SE corner of Thomas /Scottsdale Rd. It's a small restaurant. Allen, the waiter, is always helpful with questions & checks with owner/chef Andre regarding gluten. All dishes under $10.
